K.N.C. Sindhu received her MD in Community Medicine from the Christian Medical College, Vellore after completing her MBBS from Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College, Davangere, Karnataka. She has worked previously on probiotics for paediatric infectious diarrhoea and is currently working on the factors affecting the immunogenicity of Rotavirus vaccines in India. Her areas of interest are infectious diseases, maternal and child health and psycho-social determinants of domestic violence.
She was awarded the Indian Journal of Medical and Paediatric Oncology (IJMPO) award in the year 2014 for outstanding research conducted by a postgraduate student in CMC, Vellore.
