Anu Paul

Anu's research work focuses on evaluating immune response to rotavirus vaccination among Indian infants. Although, currently two rotavirus vaccines from Merck and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) have been licensed in many parts of the world, the absence of a correlate of protection prevents the prediction of expected levels of efficacy in different populations based on current immunologic assays. Her study focuses on evaluating methods to measure antibodies against rotavirus in various body fluids including serum, saliva, stools and breast milk. These studies will enhance our basic understanding of the local and systemic immune response to rotavirus vaccination and infection.
